I've enjoyed for the most part, your youtube rants. I'd like to suggest the subject of pop culture defining and shaping young, impressionable minds. I can't believe how much garbage I see people act out, that seems to be ingrained into who they ARE, and it REALLY seems like they got the mindset from growing up watching "One Tree Hill", or "Keeping up with the Kardashians". It can't be just me who sees this. If you have a take on the whole thing, it's bound to be interesting.

Very interesting. I posted an apology video to Onision recently (I thought he was being really manipulative in his videos http://youtube.com/onisionspeaks and the way he runs his forum is a little strange, but I took back what I said because I realized that he primarily simply takes a negative reinforcement approach, the "tough love" appoach when touching on serious subjects--he actually backpeddled a bit and made a retort to one of his own videos after myself and many others made a stink about one his videos) where I touched just a little bit on that subject, but I think a full-on video about just that would be a great thing. Thanks. I'll work on that. :)

What I'm doing right now is watching an episode of "One Tree Hill"--I had never watched it before, I didn't even know about the show. I'll be watching an episode of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" next. I want to make sure that I at least know about the examples you have given.

Ok, I've made the first half of the video, I watched 3 episodes of "One Tree Hill". The second half of the video will be after I watch "Keeping up with the Kardashians". I have made some commentary about many different TV shows and pop culture and South Park in the process, and you'll see what I have to say once I finish the video.

Ok, the video is done but it's going to be a while before it is fully uploaded and ready.

Wow, if I'd had known you were going to do that much research, I would have put more thought into what shows I saw people drawing on. I'm sure that they supplied ample fuel though. Looking forward to the video! On a related note, some guy at work the other day said, "Did you REALLY just say that to me?" (in an effort to clown someone) to another guy, and he used it EXACTLY in the context that America's Next Top Model and 90210 are using it at this time. I kind of chuckled to myself because I knew that he said it just like TV does now (and many other Abercrombie and Fitch shoppers, for that matter), only, in real life, and in the process of having real life relationships with real people that are actually affected by the effects of "how people say things".

Great video!! I totally named the wrong show, and feel bad since you watched a few of them. I have never seen One Tree Hill, and was thinking of "The O.C." which falls under the category of "Disneyfied". My bad man, I don't have objection to One Tree Hill, I was thinking of something else entirely.

From your video: "It must be really hard to get a sense of who you are right now if you're a teenager".

RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!

Another thing about the Disney shows is the aspect of teaching kids to act like little primadonnas and showing them how to act "grown up" in how they dress, how they act, and how they think. It's just ridiculous. Plain and simple.
