Were there not enough tranquilizers available? Seriously? Some of these animals were just barely standing outside their pens. As someone in the comments said, "Look, there's a giraffe! Shoot it!"

The guy shouldn't have been having a personal zoo like that in the first place, but I think it's sad and pathetic that most of the animals had to suffer the ultimate consequence.

What a messed up situation all around.

I was of two minds when my friend brought this up.. I understand the valid reasons for shooting the animals, but I also feel like it was like "we are hick ville YAAAHAW time ter shoot us some animals!" I mean.. they kinda where not doing anything at the time, but they where not safe to have wandering around.. but really the ones right there could not have been herded into enclosures? :S
