I can't post on youtube, but...

I agree with you. Same thing over and over and over, with everyone jumping on the "popular" bandwagon (i think there's a pun in there) just kind of kills the originality of a genre, of any type.

i wish you luck on your music, bro! I've heard some of what you've made in the past, and I have loved it.

I'm thinking that post-rock might slightly fit the style I'm looking to be a part of--although a lot of it seems to lack hooks, but it doesn't have to be that way. I know most post rock doesn't have vocals, but some does.

Either way, in a couple months when I start putting out ads on Craigslist, we'll see what transpires.
