Over the past year I've been trying to change my lifestyle. I've been going to the gym and using lots of their machines, I do skim milk instead of 2% or whole, and have attempted to remove the excessive amounts of cheese I normally had in my diet. Cutting the fat out of my diet seems to have affected my weight the most.

In the process I've lost 73 pounds, I was at 268, but I've been stuck at 195 for the past couple months. The hardest areas to lose seem to be the lower part of my belly and my upper thighs.

Now I'm starting to cut back substantially my meat intake (more vegetables), and I want to start doing more cardio. I've been trying to get more long walks in. I'm considering doing some aerobics.

I don't think I want to get down as light as I was in my 20s--I think 130 would be too thin, I certainly felt too thin when I was that weight, I'm thinking more around 150-160.

It has been a lot harder to lose the weight since I've been on Zyprexa--most people gain a *massive* amount of weight when they're on it, I astounded my doctor with the amount of weight I've lost while on it--it's not uncommon for people to gain over 100 pounds on it.

Wow. That's amazing. I bet you feel a lot better not carrying around all that extra weight. I heard somewhere that for every pound you lose, you take 3 or 4 pounds of pressure off of your knee joints.

My knees definitely don't make that snapping/cracking sound as much anymore. And it's nice to be able to walk for more than a mile without getting winded.

That's great stuff. Have you tried jogging? I love a good jog through the Northern Irish country. I find it more fun to not plan a route at all and intentionally try to get lost. My know my bearings too well though, but sometimes I find somewhere new.

Jogging is something I'm not quite ready for yet. I still get exhausted very quickly when jogging. But I do enjoy hiking.

If you get tired quickly when jogging, to me that's a very good reason to actually take it up. After a few weeks you won't get tired so quickly and you'll get healthier.

I may do that.

Although I'm going to have to take a bit of a break as I had a leg injury at a show I went to earlier in the week. I didn't think it was anything until last night when it was hurting worse and I looked down and saw this:

LOL

I'll be going in tomorrow to a clinic to get it looked at.
