Before we say "enough is enough!"?

Income inequality has skyrocketed in the last 30 years. And they're cutting education and services for the poor. Again. With nearly half of congress official millionaires, is it any wonder they can be counted on to vote for corporate interests (who fund their campaigns) and millionaire tax breaks (that personally affect them)?

A huge share of the nation's economic growth over the past 30 years has gone to the top one-hundredth of one percent, who now make an average of $27 million per household. The average income for the bottom 90 percent of us? $31,244.

Here's a joke making the rounds on Facebook: Sitting at the negotiating table are David Koch (the Scrooge McDuck impersonator Gov. Walker thought he was talking to on the phone), a Wisconsin teacher, and a Tea Party member. A waiter brings them a dozen cookies. Koch takes 11, then warns the Tea Partyer, "Hey, better watch that guy. He wants half your cookie!"

Yipes. The inequality is just absolutely staggering!

Interesting that I posted something about how corrupt corporate America has become literally at the same time as you.

Ugh. I'm seeing it corporately at work too. Before the Federal Rest Law; Which mandates 48 hours off after working 6 days straight for Conductors and Engineers, Corporate sent out a letter URGING us to tell our politicians not to vote for it. Of course, anything that the company doesn't want is usually better for us if it does happen.

So anyway, they warn us that it will cut so deep we may be out of work. Fast forward 2 years - the Federal Rest that was SO damaging passed, and the company is making RECORD profits. This is a 150 year old company making RECORD profits. In the biggest recession in memory. They simply wanted MORE of a record profit. MORE.
